Welcome to my travel blog. We are occasional cruisers, usually with the aim of travelling at least once each year.

Previously I have published each cruise with a separate blog. I have now decided to combine them all in a single location. This blogs primary purpose is to keep a summary of our cruises for ourselves.
The Brisbane ship tab is a list of upcoming ships into Brisbane for the ship watcher enthusiast. The photo tab are cruise ship photos. World cruise blog tab has links to follow, making it easier if you access the blog by a mobile device and can't see my reading list on the right.

Itinerary update -Cairns cruise terminal

With the media announcement from Princess back in April that the sun class ships would stop tendering from Yorkey's knob and will instead dock at the Cairns cruise terminal, I have been waiting to hear that it's definite for our cruise and whether the times in port would change.

Last week, the final confirmation came through and we will be definitely docking at the cruise terminal.

So, the final itinerary, as it stands at the moment is listed below:

  • 7th April 2017: Depart Brisbane 6pm
  • 8th April 2017: Sea day
  • 9th April 2017: Sea day with scenic cruising Willis Island 12-1pm
  • 10th April 2017: Port Douglas (tender) 7am-6pm
  • 11th April 2017: Cairns 7am-5pm
  • 12th April 2017: Airlie Beach (tender) 10am-8pm
  • 13th April 2017: Sea day
  • 14th April 2017: Sea day
  • 15th April 2017: Sydney (White bay) 7am-4pm
  • 16th April 2017: Sea day
  • 17th April 2017: Brisbane 7am
Also to note, Friday the 14th is good Friday and Sunday the 16th Easter Sunday.
I'm still not 100% certain we are leaving from Portside on the 7th April. With the later departure time I'm thinking it possibly could be the Fishermans Grain Terminal.Of course we'll check closer to sailing as schedules are updated.
